Video Post: How To Tweet On Twitter Using iTweet.Net

I found this user-friendly, web-based, Twitter application that I love using – iTweet.net. Although I like apps like Twhirl and TweetDeck, they can only be used on computers that have the applications already installed. In short, this is a perfect web-based app for social entrepreneurs.

Basics of iTweet (forgive the parts where I space out):

Recent Modifications of iTweet (from Colby’s blog):

Again, Statistics are in your profile in the top right – so you can see at a glance your number of updates, favorites, following and followers. This updates itself as you tweet, fave and follow.  There is also an “Appearance” preference in the Settings menu – you can keep the default iTweet look OR use your Twitter profile’s appearance – background image, font colors and sidebar color.

As mentioned in the video, one mouse click (below) gives you a deeper view into a fellow user.

There’s also an “is so-and-so following me?” button so you can see if that person is following you, and a “Twittering Since” date that shows when that person joined Twitter. For some reason you can’t find this information about a user on Twitter.com – another reason to use iTweet.

Profile methods are the same for both the Web interface and the iPhone interface:

  • Great video, especially for your first one. What was the music in the background?
  • Hey John, I'm glad that you have started using video to educate readers of your blog. You did a great job! The music in the background...great touch. I'm sure people and businesses will really benefit from this tool.
  • @Giovanna - I'm following you now, so you can DM me.

@Chris - That was Jimmy Cliff. I had the music in the background to add more "personality" to the post.

@James - Thanks, man. I really appreciate the vote of confidence!

    Take care guys!

  • Dear John, I just want to thank you so much for your time and sharing. Love that you explained all of the great features (and even downfalls) so easily, smoothly, and in only a few minutes. I'm sold! You're a definite favorite of mine, yo! Wish you the best in all you do! Truly yours, Elizabeth
  • Greeting from the UK. Great Video for a novice like me. I have now deleted Tweetdeck and gone with itwitter. Stephen
  • @Stephen - Thanks for the comment. Just to clarify, TweetDeck has strengths that iTweet doesn't have and visa versa. Tweetdeck has organization as it's strength and iTweet has utility and data as it's strength.
  • I love iTweet, but can some one tell me why I cannot add any more then 2000 following? I'm up to 800 followers but cannot add more, I get and error message!

  • @Bob - That's a Twitter issue, has nothing to do with iTweet. Do you add tons of people per day? Twitter might view that activity as a bot.
  • I would just say one thing to you and that is, “FANTASTIC”!! Keep it up and wish to get more details from your blog.
