Nick Kallen (@nk), a project lead at Twitter wrote on the corporate blog about a new “lists” feature they’ve been testing with a subset of users.
Users of Twitter.com will soon have the ability to create custom lists of specific users. Tweetdeck and Seesmic currently have users list features, but soon all Twitter users will have this ability, simply by logging into Twitter.com.

Twitter lists will have great features:
- List will be public by default, but can be made private.
- Other Twitter users can subscribe to your lists. This means that you’ll be able to see who @chrisbrogan recommends following if you’re interested in other iPhone addicts.
- Lists will be in the API, enhancing tools like @cotweet, Seesmic, Tweetdeck and Ubertwitter.
